Wordy Wednesday or Wordless Wednesday????

The big question of the day should I be wordy or wordless on Wednesday? If I go WORDY a post might have quotes such as: - When you are through changing you are through - It takes both rain and shuneshine to make a rainbow - If a care is too small to be turned into a prayeer, it is too small to be made into a burden - We make our plans, but the Lord determines out steps. Proverbs 16:19 - The world at its worst needs a church at its best - The essence of generosity is self-sacrifice - Philanthrophy, like chartity must begin at home - A reject opportunity to give is a lost opportunity to recieve If I go WORDLESS I could share my life through photos... Message me, facebook me, call me, leave a comment or talk to me in person either way let me know your thoughts...

CAMPING!!!!

Well... I think we made one of our son's dreams come true! We spent the night outside, camping in a tent! To make it more FUN - It rained all night! You could imagine how exciting this made our little adventure. Nothing has given us more joy in our life than watching Mason live life fully!

FIVE IN ONE!

I am calling this post five in one since I have a few topics to discuss. I will start backwards and work towards today. (This is going to be a long one) ONE: MASON GRADUATES! For the past three years Mason has been in the birth to three therapy programs. Every week he has seen a physical therapist to help with his fine motor skills and a speech therapist to obviously help with his speech. Kids in this program age out when they turn three and in most cases they move onto another therapy program… Mason has done so well that he has graduated! That means no more therapy! This is sweet mixed in with some bitter. Mason has two women in his life that he has seen consistently that will no longer be coming over to “play”. Mason will miss his time with them both! I remember the first day I meet each of his therapists. Hutch; his physical therapist met us about two weeks after we came home from the hospital (the first time). During the first meeting we discussed how after he turned t...

Remember... To be thankful!

This family inspires me. They remind me to be THANKFUL for everyday we are given, because it is a blessing not to be taken for granted. This is an AMAZING tribute to an incredible boy!

Reflections of Motherhood

I stole this from someone who stole this :) I couldn’t resist sharing! IF I COULD GO BACK BEFORE MASON WAS BORN I WOULD TELL MYSELF THAT I AM ONE OF THE BRAVIEST WOMEN I HAVE EVER MET, TO NEVER LOSE HOPE AND TO BE PREPARED BECAUSE LOVING A CHILD IS UNLIKE ANYTHING YOU HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED! What would you tell yourself?

A Heart that values being a Mother

"Do not forsake your mother's teaching" Proverbs 1:8 NIV "There is NO greater place of ministry, position or power than that of a mother". I guess when I first became a christian these words wouldnt have spoken to me. I was not a Mom. God had not yet taught me the truth of this statement and honestly I probaly would have missed it. I reflected upon these verses after Mason was "out of the woods"... Now what? I thought. I have a Husband, a home to manage, a child to raise and a full steam career ahead.... I reflected upon this possibility and it was completely foriegn to me. God opened my eyes and turned my thoughts around. When I became a mother I spent most of my prayer time and study time in the word with the headline of HEALING... Now that our life had calmed down and would be considered by most normal - I changed my time with the Lord. My headline shifted from "Healing" to "Motherhood as Ministry". This passion grew...

be intentional

What can I say… This year has not had the best of starts. And because it didn’t start out ideal, My Husband and I decided we wanted a fresh start on 2011… So HAPPY NEW YEAR (again)… I have never really reflected on the past year and anticipated the year to come as much as I did when 2010 rolled over to 2011. And when asked why so much anticipation; I honestly have to say I can not answer that. Perhaps it is because this year holds another big surgery and I am anxious to proceed and be done with it or perhaps it is due to this feeling of big change for my family. I have been spending a lot of time in prayer with God; looking for some answer or clue as to what he has in store us this year. So, This is what I know for sure: There will be unexpected joys and at times there will be unexpected sorrows. I know that each day that the Lord gives me this year is a gift. I know that I don’t want this year to “just happen”. I know that I don’t want to waste precious / delicate days. I know th...
