SEATTLE HEART WALK - October 20th

My life was turned upside the day we found out about Mason's  special  heart. It is something that has given us an accidental purpose in life... To trust God when we don't understand and to be apart of helping this community raise money, raise awareness, create hope and inspire change.  Did you know that cardiovascular disease is the number 1 killer of ALL Americans?  In fact someone dies from CVD every 38 seconds! Heart disease also kills more women than all forms of cancer combined and congenital cardiovascular defects are the most common cause of infant death from birth defects.  This year the Seattle Heart Walk is scheduled for October 20, 212. Save the date and join our team in fighting back! WEED KILLER - Mason Friendly

Mason loves to help - in the kitchen, with cleaning and even out in the garden. When it comes to gardening it becomes difficult because of the chemicals used in the weed killers - and it just  isn't  fair if I spray the weeds and he cant. (as said by Mason) Well this spring that will change thanks to my new friend  www.pinterest.com Let me explain... I love this website and I not only "PIN" things to my beautiful boards but I also actually try out the DIY things that I pin... Today I found a cheap and kid friendly weed killer!!! This weed killer will be the next thing that Mason and I test out together once the rain and snow stop falling. I am excited today - He will be excited once I let him "shot" the weeds! So here is the big reveal... this weed killer recipe consists of: WHITE VINEGAR! That’s it!  Simply fill a spray bottle with white vinegar, and spray generously on all parts of the weed ~ leaves and root area. The combination of the vinegar and

Our family of three...

The next time we post family photos we will be a family of four... So I though that I should take the opportunity to post a few from our "growing" family of three... - Kelsey Garka

Time...

Well we are less than a month away from welcoming our little girl into this world and as I transition out of working I find myself getting creative with thinking of ways I am going to now spend "all" my time, before baby and after... I laugh at myself because when I am day dreaming about what I can do... I realize "all" my time will be given up to Greg, Mason, trying to take it easy (hopefully) and when she does arrive - her. But a girl can still dream... One thing that I need to make a priority is slightly changing my blog. Mason has been the focus of our lives and this blog for the past 4 years... Although I still believe in using this site for people to visit to check on him, read about our story and see how big of a miracle he truly is, I also realize that it needs to be used to celebrate all our lives... As we transition from a family of three to a family of four the blog needs to change with us... As a disclaimer this is a priority however being 9 mont
